⚠️ Safety Preparation
1. Battery Safety
Reduce the battery level of your iPhone to below 25% before starting the repair. This helps minimize the risk of fire or explosion if the battery is accidentally punctured during the repair process.
2. Back Glass Protection
If the back glass is severely cracked or shattered, apply tape over the damaged area to protect yourself from glass fragments and make removal easier. Ensure there is a smooth, intact area near the bottom edge where the suction cup can securely attach.
3. Screw Management
When removing screws, keep them organized and carefully label their positions. Always reinstall each screw in its original location to avoid damaging internal components caused by using screws of the wrong size or length.
Stage 1: Opening the Phone
Step 1: Remove the Bottom Screws
Use a Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two screws located next to the charging port.
Step 2: Heat the Bottom Edge of the Rear Glass
Use a hair dryer or heat gun to warm the bottom edge of the rear glass for approximately 1 minute until it feels warm to the touch. This helps soften the waterproof adhesive underneath.
Step 3: Create an Opening Gap
- Attach the suction cup to the bottom edge of the rear glass.
- Pull upward on the suction cup handle with steady force to create a small gap between the rear glass and the frame.
Step 4: Cut Through the Adhesive Seal
- Insert the tip of a triangular opening pick into the gap.
- Heat the left edge of the phone, then slide the opening pick along the edge to cut through the adhesive.
- Continue heating and cutting along the top and right edges.
Note: The charging coil flex cable is located near the volume buttons on the right side. Avoid inserting the opening pick too deeply in this area to prevent damage.
Step 5: Open the Rear Glass
- Open the rear glass from the left side toward the right side.
- Support the rear glass against a raised surface so that it remains vertical or slightly tilted to the right. This prevents excessive tension on the flex cables connecting the rear cover.
Stage 2: Removing the Rear Cover
Step 6: Remove the Connector Cover
- Use a screwdriver to remove the screw securing the upper connector cover.

Step 7: Disconnect the Battery
Use a T-shaped pry pick to gently pry up and disconnect the battery flex cable.

Step 9: Remove the Rear Glass
Once all connections between the rear cover and the phone body have been disconnected, the rear glass assembly can be completely removed.
Stage 3: Removing the Battery
Step 10: Remove the Bottom Adhesive Sticker
Use a triangular opening pick to carefully lift and remove the silver adhesive sticker along the bottom edge of the battery.
Step 11: Remove the Battery
- Attach the positive lead of the power supply meter to the silver adhesive sticker, and attach the negative lead to the metal bracket on the phone frame.
- Set the power supply to 9V and apply power for approximately 40 seconds.
- After the adhesive softens, carefully remove the battery.
Stage 4: Cleaning and Reassembly
Step 12: Clean the Frame
- Use a scraper to remove large pieces of deformed or leftover adhesive from the phone frame.
- Use a microfiber cloth or cotton swab dampened with high-concentration isopropyl alcohol (90% or higher) to clean the metal frame and remove any remaining adhesive residue.
Step 13: Install the New Battery and Test
- Align the new battery and press it into place.
- Apply new adhesive sealant to the cleaned frame, but do not remove the protective liner yet.
- Connect the battery, then power on the device to test its functionality. If everything works properly, power off the device again.
- Reinstall the flex cable shield, then align and press down the rear glass to reseal the phone.
- Reinstall the two screws securing the connector cover.
- Reinstall the two Pentalobe screws next to the charging port.
